Fan Stage Set
This fan shaped stage set can be installed in a variety of ways. The final shape can be changed during or between performances.
Smart LEDs on the ribs of the fan respond to the dancer’s movements. Muscle wire attachments on cut flaps move in response to the music, changing the shadows cast by the set and creating texture and movement on the surface.
The Folding Stage Set received an honorable mention in Industrial Design category of the 2010 Toronto Design Exchange Awards.
